Dear Esteemed Researchers and Scholars,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Editorial Board of the JOURNAL OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND BUSINESS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. As the Editor-in-Chief, it gives me great pleasure to relate year’s theme to the purpose of the Journal: "Relevant Education through Competence-Based Studies."
In today's rapidly evolving world, the need for education to be relevant and aligned with the demands of the job market is more crucial than ever before. Competence-based studies offer a promising approach to ensure that education equips individuals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen fields.

Being able to produce a volume every year since its inception is a commendable achievement. The 5th Volume has brought on board more Joint publications between Staff and Postgraduate Students. This is a positive trend. We encourage all our postgraduate Students to publish in our Journal individually or jointly with their supervisors. Such Publications will help the ranking of the University to be raised. Stakeholders of the University are encouraged to publish in our Journal.

Graduating and Undergraduate Students and their parents are encouraged to acquire a copy of the Journal because it gives good reading and the articles are well recorded.

We invite submissions that explore various aspects of Competence-Based Education, including but not limited to:

  • Curriculum design and implementation strategies

  • Assessment methods and tools for measuring competencies

  • Case studies highlighting successful models of competence-based education

  • The role of technology in supporting competence development

  • Cross-disciplinary perspectives on competence-based learning

Contributions from researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are welcome. We encourage submissions that offer innovative insights, empirical evidence, and practical implications for enhancing education's relevance and effectiveness.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the journal's guidelines available on our website www.slaujournals.com for online Journal. Submissions should be made through our online submission system.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and to fostering meaningful discussions on this important topic.

The Editorial Board acknowledges and appreciates support from Top Management, the University Council and Board of Directors. Special appreciation goes to all those that have contributed technical advice and guidance and those who generated Articles for Publication.

Best regards,

Dr. Charles Wakoko Masaba, PhD

Vice Chancellor
